Deputy Commissioner organizes meeting with officials and political parties related to Lok Sabha general election counting

 

Lohardaga: Counting of votes for Lok Sabha Election 2024 is scheduled to be held on 04.05.2024 at 08.00 am at Polytechnic College Chandali, Gumla. Important information related to counting was given by the Deputy Commissioner to the political parties related to the counting. District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Karna Satyarthi informed that there are total 5 assembly constituencies in Lohardaga parliamentary constituency, namely 66-Mandar, 67-Sisai, 68-Gumla, 69-Vishnupur and 72-Lohardaga. For the successful conduct of counting work, 22 tables have been set for Mandar Assembly, Sisai-18 tables, Gumla-18 tables, Vishnupur-20 tables, and Lohardaga-18 tables per assembly constituency. The Deputy Commissioner told that all the political parties should ensure to provide the list of all the agents by 01.05.2024. So that the identity card of all can be made and also instructed not to take any kind of electronic material in the counting room. On the day of counting, it is mandatory for all the workers to go to the counting center with their identity card. First of all their attendance will be recorded. Official workers have been deputed on each table of counting respectively as counting supervisor, counting assistant and micro observer. Counting of votes will be done assembly wise / polling station wise respectively. Thereafter, the number of votes will be marked round wise candidate wise and the said form will be signed by the counting supervisor and present or their counting agent. And separate details of each round will be made available to the Returning Officer. On the occasion, SDO Sadar, SDO Basia, DC LR, District Deputy Election Officer along with representatives of recognized political parties and other related officials and workers should be present.
