Heat breaks records in Rajasthan, mercury crosses 50.5 degree Celsius in Churu

Rajasthan: The continuous heat in Rajasthan is getting more intense where the maximum temperature was recorded at 50.5 degree Celsius in Churu on Tuesday. This is 7.5 degree Celsius more than normal. According to the weather center of Jaipur, most parts of the state are in the grip of severe heat wave. According to it, the maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 50.5 degrees in Churu, 49.4 degrees in Ganganagar, 49.0 degrees in Pilani and Phalodi, 48.3 degrees in Bikaner, 48.2 degrees in Kota, 48.0 degrees in Jaisalmer, 46.6 degrees in Jaipur and 46.0 degrees Celsius in Barmer. According to it, the maximum temperature in Pilani on Tuesday was 49.0 degrees Celsius which is the highest till now. This is 7.5 degrees Celsius more than normal. Earlier in 1999, the maximum temperature of 48.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Pilani. The heat in the state can be estimated from the fact that the minimum temperature in Kota was also recorded at 35.6 degrees Celsius which is 4.6 degrees Celsius more than normal. The state has been experiencing severe heat for almost a week. The Meteorological Department has expressed hope that the maximum temperature may fall by two to four degrees Celsius in the coming 48 hours, which may provide some relief to the people of the state from the scorching heat. According to the Center, there is a possibility of thunder, storm and light rain in some places in the northern parts of the state due to the effect of a new western disturbance from May 31. This situation will continue on June 1 and 2 as well.
