Lohardaga: Cases of hooliganism keep coming to light every day. A similar case has come to light on Saturday also, where a Dalit youth was beaten up by a security personnel. According to the information, Prakash Karuva, a resident of Balmiki Nagar of Sadar police station area, had gone to Sadar Hospital at around 9 am on May 17 with food for the patient. When Prakash parked his scooter and started going inside the hospital to deliver food, he was stopped and abused by the security personnel posted there. When Prakash protested, all the security personnel together beat Prakash and dragged him out of the hospital. The security personnel also used caste based abuses at Prakash. Due to pain, Prakash could not even give food to the patient. During the beating, some people asked why they were beating but no one gave any answer. Prakash has suffered deep injuries in his hands and legs. Prakash informed the Civil Surgeon about the matter through a written complaint letter and demanded appropriate action. Regarding this incident, officials of Jai Shri Ram Committee met the hospital management and demanded to take action on this incident as soon as possible. On the occasion, Kanhaiya Karuva, Ajay Soni, Om Mahato, Hemant Verma, Bajrang Karuva, City President Deepak Sahu, Ward President Akshay. Karuva and other people were present.
