Ranchi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad Service Department and National Sanatan Ekta Manch's provincial spokesperson Sanjay Saraf has said that Lord Vishwakarma Puja will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17 September this year as every year. Vishwakarma Puja is also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti. This is an important festival of Hindu Sanatan Dharma. In religious texts, Vishwakarma is considered to be a descendant of Brahma ji, the creator of the universe. Brahma ji's son was Dharma and Dharma's son was Vastudev. Who are considered to be the first man of Shilpa Shastra. Vishwakarma was born to this Vastu Dev's wife named Angirasi. Following in his father's footsteps, Vishwakarma also became a great Acharya of Vastu Kala. Manu, Maya, Tvashta, Shilpi, and Devgya are his sons. These five sons are considered to be experts in different forms of Vastu Shilp. Vishwakarma is considered to be the inventor and best knower of Shilpa Shastra. Vishwakarma Puja is a festival celebrated by craftsmen, artisans, workers and everyone. This festival is dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and creator of the universe. Vishwakarma is a deity who built heaven and even some of the largest palaces of the gods. He is also worshipped as the god of artisans, craftsmen and engineers. He is also called the first engineer of creation. Whoever worships Lord Vishwakarma, his house, shop, business, all prosper. Donating with a true heart on the day of Vishwakarma Puja increases good karma and brings prosperity, success, happiness. By donating special items on Vishwakarma Puja, devotees establish a union with Vishwakarma and receive divine blessings for abundance along with growth.
Vishwakarma is made up of two words Vishwa (world or universe) and Karma (creator), hence the word Vishwakarma means the creator of the world i.e. the one who created the world.
