State Secretary MZ Khan, while discussing the activities of the last week, said that on the call of NCCPA, a memorandum of 14-point demands was sent via email to the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Government of India, Finance Minister, Railway Minister, Communications Minister, Pension Minister and Cabinet Secretary on 5 September, which mainly included the formation of the 8th Pay Commission, implementation of the old pension scheme, restoration of the travel facility (concession) being given to senior citizens in railways before the Corona period, immediate release of 18 months' dearness allowance and dearness relief stopped by the government, reducing the period of commutation of pension from 15 years to 12 years, paying additional pension at the rate of 5% from the age of 65 years, making rules for Pensioners Association on the lines of Service Association, etc. Apart from this, a demand was also made to make a National Letigation Policy.I t should be implemented as per the recommendation of the 110th Parliamentary Standing Committee.
Apart from MZ Khan, MN Singh, Subhash Gupta, BK Chaudhary, Gautam Vishwas, Sushila Kujur, Hasina Tigga, Jairam Prasad, SP Mandal, KD Rai Vyathit, Dev Charan Sahu addressed the gathering and said that we need to intensify our struggle. The State Secretary will present the Association's side before the Central Information Commission. This issue was also raised strongly in the CMC meeting held on 24 August in Bhopal.
