Various cleanliness activities will be organized on the theme of 'Swabhaav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata'
Ranchi: Like every year, this year also Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada is being organized from 17th September to 2nd October under Swachhata Bharat Mission (Urban). In this series, this Swachhata Pakhwada was started with the program 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' from the Dikshant Mandap, Ranchi College, Morabadi in Ranchi Municipal Corporation. The program was started with the welcome song. The message of cleanliness was given with a street play in the program.
Tokhan Sahu, Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India said that this cleanliness program will run from 17th September to 2nd October. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the Swachh Bharat Mission on the birthday of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, to pay tribute to him. Under this, people were inspired to serve and contribute towards cleanliness. Swachh Bharat was started in a mission mode and now it has become the duty of every person. With this feeling, we all have to make cleanliness an integral part of our lives.
Ranchi MLA CP Singh said that Swachh Bharat Mission was started in 2014 under the leadership of Prime Minister. It is now celebrated as a nationwide mass movement. Under this, every citizen has a feeling of adopting cleanliness. He appealed to the citizens to adopt cleanliness in their lifestyle, the sanskar of cleanliness comes from home and school, so make it effective among small children. Along with this, all Ranchi residents should bring the feeling of Ranchi within themselves so that our city can become clean.
SUDA Director Amit Kumar said that under Swachhata Hi Seva, the dreams of Swachh Bharat Mission have to be fulfilled under the theme of Swabhaav Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata. It is expected that awareness will come among the people under this fortnight. He told that 7600 different programs are being organized across the state under all the bodies. Its purpose is to ensure the participation of every citizen of the society.
Municipal Commissioner Sandeep Singh said that under the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan based on the theme 'Swabhaav Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata', every citizen is contributing in the field of cleanliness by adopting cleanliness as a habit this year. Under this, many activities are to be done in the corporation area. Identifying black spots and cleaning them, organizing health check-up camps keeping in mind the health and social security of Safai Mitras, tree plantation etc. All the citizens will have to make their important contribution to achieve the objective of this campaign.
On the occasion, under the program 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', all the dignitaries planted trees in the campus and also swept the premises while doing Shramdaan. Under 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', Ranchi Municipal Corporation planted 100 trees each in all 53 wards. Mainly Tokhan Sahu, Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, CP Singh MLA Ranchi, Amit Kumar Director SUDA, Sandeep Singh Municipal Commissioner, Additional Administrator Saurabh Prasad, Deputy Administrator Ravindra Kumar, all Assistant Administrators, Assistant Public Health Officer, City Manager, City Campaign Manager and other workers and hundreds of common citizens participated on the occasion.
