Ranchi: P Shivkumar, Member Secretary, Central Silk Board, Bangalore was awarded the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Resham Ratna Life Time Achievement Award by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for his special contribution in issuing a commemorative coin of Rs. 75/-, postage stamp on completion of 75 years of Central Silk Board, launching new mulberry and silkworm varieties as well as bringing silk production to the masses.CSB-Central Tasar Research and Training Institute, Ranchi was awarded the Life Time Achievement Award in the category of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Resham Ratna Samman for outstanding contribution in the field of tassar silk and notable cooperation in the activities of tassar silk in the state of Uttar Pradesh. On behalf of the institute, this award was given to Director Dr. N.B. Chaudhary on 22 October 2024 in a program organized by the Directorate of Silk, Government of Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow. P Shivkumar, Member Secretary, Central Silk Board congratulated and wished all the scientists, officers and employees on this occasion. In this program, Dasharathi Behera, Deputy Secretary, R.O. New Delhi was also awarded the second prize in the category of Life Time Award. Scientists and officers working in various institutions across the country congratulated and wished him on this achievement.
